On the Road to Motherhood

This blog started in October 2003 when I found that in another 8 months I will become a mommy. The purpose of this blog was to document my pregnancy. In June 2005 I restarted this blog to document my second pregnancy. My second child is now three months old. I am restarting this blog yet again to keep in touch with friends and family and to complain about life.

Today we went on another safari trip. This time we went to Longleat. It was brilliant. We left early in the morning, 7 a.m. to be precise, and made a great timing to reach the park at 9.50 a.m. - 10 minutes before the opening. We had a great time driving through the safari park looking at giraffes, zebras, lions, tigers, wolves, monkeys, camels and other animals. The pride of lions with three little cubs was just amazing. Big Munchkin even had a chance to feed deers.

Next, we went to the attractions' part of the Longleat. We went to Postman Pat's Village. I though it could have been bigger, but Big Munchkin loves Postman Pat. She was very impressed and kept talking about it. We went to the Adventure Castle. Kids spent nearly two hours playing there. Then we tried our luck at the Hedge Maze. On the hindsight it was a mistake. Kids were tired and it was not easy to find the way out. The maze business was not my cup of tea. We were very lucky to avoid line up at the Longleat Railway. It was a nice little trip on a nice little train, but Little Munchkin was so exhausted that he fell asleep on my arms as soon as the train began to move. We missed the Butterfly Garden and the Safari Boat ride because the kids were just too tired. Overall, we had a great day out.
