This weekend we went to see another of English Heritage properties - Dawn House, the home of Charles Darwin. It was OK. Nothing particularly exciting. It was very cold and windy, so we could not enjoy the gardens as much as we would have in summer. The tea room was jam packed, and I was getting cross. So, my DH stopped at a nearby cafe, named the Cakes. It had the best cream tea ever. Really lovely. The day was not as much of a write off as it might have been otherwise.
Today my DH took Big Munchkin to a Disney on Ice show 'Finding Nemo'. He got the tickets as a part of a reward scheme from his job. They both had a great time. At the same time I took Little Munchkin for a nice dim sum lunch in central London. Afterwards, we met a friends for a quick coffee. The weather is horrid - windy, wet and cold. Still, we had a good time.
