Last week we had a half term break. We did so many things with the kids. On Monday we went to the classical music concert called Noisy Kids. It is a yearly event by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra designed specifically for kids 4 to 7 years old. Big Munchkin liked it, Little Munchkin could not care less. On Tuesday, we had a double playdate in the morning. Then, we went for a storytelling workshop at the National Maritime Museum. There, we accidentally met one of Big Munchkin's friends. After the Museum, we went to Big Munchkin's gymnastics class. little Munchkin went to a soft play centre at the same time.
On Wednesday, we went to the Tate Modern Museum with Big Munchkin and 3 of her classmates plus two of their little brothers of Little Munchkin's age. In total we had seven kids and 4 adults. It actually was not that bad. I really don't like Tate Modern. I think it is a waste of public money. But, since, we went as a group, kids had a good time. Big Munchkin did manage to notice a few sculptures and they all had a good time running around.
On Thursday, we went to a big soft play centre nearby and to the park in the afternoon. On Friday, we had a cookie decorating workshop in the morning. Kids had to roll the dough, cut the cookies with cookie cutters and decorate them. Then, the cookies were baked and we got the results of their labour. Next we went to another storytelling workshop in a Royal Naval College. Then, we went to Greenwich Park playground. We met lots of friends there. It felt like a Russian day out - we met 6 or 7 Russian families there. Then, we went for Big Munchkin's yoga class. Little Munchkin went to a soft playground in the same building with his little friend, whose elder brother goes for the same yoga class as Big Munchkin.
Big Munchkin really likes the yoga class. Unfortunately, she got a space in a swimming class that starts at exactly the same time as yoga. So, we decided to put her into the swimming class. There are too many classes, and only so much time. Little Munchkin also got a place in a swimming class. Not sure if he can go to the class by himself. We'll see how it goes.
